Ravi Kankaria, O.D.
Dr. Ravi Kankaria graduated from the University of Houston, College of Optometry, with a Doctor of Optometry degree in 1989, and then did his Residency in Vision Rehabilitation/Low Vision Optometry at the University of Houston, Light House Low Vision Clinic.
Dr. Kankaria began practicing in Aldine where he has a very established office in 1989. Dr. Kankaria began practicing in the Magnolia area in 2010. He specializes in the treatment of eye disease, family optometry care, contact lenses, and laser vision co-management. He is therapeutically certified and is an Optometry Glaucoma Specialist.
Prior to completing his optometry Program in Houston, he obtained his Diploma in Optometry, from the Municipal Eye Hospital in Mumbai, India.
Dr. Kankaria is on the board of directors of InFocus, which is Inter fostering of Ophthalmic Care to the Underserved sectors, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting eye care to the needy and underprivileged population globally. He has participated in InFocus non-profit eye care projects over the last 15 years.
Dr. Kankaria is a therapeutically certified optometrist, and also completed his certification as an Optometric Glaucoma specialist. Dr. Kankaria speaks Spanish and 5 languages from India.
Dr. Kankaria is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), Texas Optometric Association(TOA), and a life member of the Indian Optometric Association.
He is married with two children, and enjoys reading, traveling, and loves to interact with people.
